API Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07
Draft terms governing access to the Artisan Hub 237 API (developer portal, API keys, OAuth apps and webhooks). Provisional version, subject to legal review.
1. Who we are
The API is operated by the private company identified in the legal notice. It is not a public administration and does not act for any ministry or public body. No app may imply government endorsement or official status.
2. What the API provides
Access to directory data, catalogues, messaging and the quote workflow (request, proposal, purchase order, invoice), the latter being documents exchanged between the parties.
3. Not party to sales, no payments
The company is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers, processes no payments and holds no funds; quote and invoice amounts are informational. An app may not present the platform as a payment processor, escrow or guarantor.
4. Accounts and approval
Every organisation is reviewed before it gets access. New apps start in sandbox; live access and sensitive scopes are granted after review. You provide accurate information, protect your credentials and create one organisation per legal entity.
5. Scopes and consent
Request only the scopes you need. A member's data is reachable only with their OAuth consent. A revocation must be honoured within a period to be set [To be confirmed by counsel — proposed: 24 h].
6. Data protection
No resale of data, no scraping beyond the limits, deletion of cached personal data after revocation, limited caching of public data unless revalidated. The applicable personal-data legal framework is to be confirmed [To be confirmed by counsel].
7. Attribution and brand
"Data from Artisan Hub 237" with a link. No use of our marks implying partnership or official status.
8. Rate limits and fair use
The rate-limit tier follows the plan of the business linked to your organisation. Published numbers are provisional. Abuse leads to suspension.
9. Prohibited uses
In particular, the following are prohibited:
- Impersonating artisans
- Making false certificate claims
- Sending spam through messaging
- Circumventing rate limits
10. Changes, versioning and deprecation
The API is versioned (/api/v1). Deprecations are announced through the Deprecation and Sunset headers and in the changelog, with notice to be confirmed [proposed: 6 months, 12 months for a major version].
11. Fees
No API-specific fees today: the tier follows the published plan of the linked business [To be confirmed].
12. Liability, suspension and governing law
The API is provided as is. Liability, warranty, suspension or termination clauses, and the governing law and venue, remain to be drafted [To be confirmed by counsel].
13. Contact
For any question about these terms, write to us via the Contact page or at the address in the legal notice.
